A new training workshop for the prevention of female genital mutilation (FGM) and other harmful practices for women was held on 24th of April 2017. The project was carried out jointly by Save a Girl Save a Generation and Acción en Red. On this occasion, it was organized by the Casino de la Reina Community Social Centre, the Central District of Madrid for social work professionals, equality agents, and members of collaborating NGOs. The workshop focused on the most current documented data of FGM and the gender and intercultural approach for detection and prevention of this practice, among other aspects. The workshop lasted five hours and had a practical part through the representation of a role play.
